You have to implement what you have learned in CMPSC 360 to solve a practical problem of
your choice. The goal of the project is to help you in understanding the importance of the
concepts you are learning inside the classroom. Since the homework, recitations and other
quizzes are limited in scope this project will help you in understanding the practicality of discrete
mathematics with an interesting open-ended problem. You will also gain a very important skill of
carrying out research and communicating your findings in writing. Plus, it would really look cool
on your resume.

Machine details and background concepts This section explains background concepts, the components of the hypothetical Commqual architecture, and its instructions. The following section describes the functions you are to write.

Makefile to be written • In the project7 directory you must write a makefile, which must be in a file named Makefile (with an uppercase ‘M’), that will build three executable programs program1.x, main.x, and tester.x (so it must have these three targets) from the three files program1.c, main.c, and tester.c and the other source files.

.Object This project will extend upon your priority queue implementation from Project #6. You will now do some smaller things: add conditional compilation directives to your header file pq-datastructure.h and add one short new function to your priority queue implementation, and some larger things

Now it is time for you to join the continuing conversation by responding to the different authors’ ideas about the issue and using their arguments to inform your own.

Task: Construct a thesis-driven essay in which you respond to the following question:

How should college and university faculty and administrators respond to the increasing demand               for student mental health services, and what should students do to help themselves? 

Essay Length: 1200-1500 words (4-5 pages), plus a 1-2 page reflection.
